FL Cosmetology CE Course for License Renewal (10hrs)

The primary goal of this course is to inform and update Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians, Facial Specialist, and Full Specialists of necessary facts as they pertain to the Cosmetology industry in the following areas: HIV/AIDS, Sanitation and Sterilization, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, FL Laws and Rules, Chemical Makeup, Environmental Issues, and the benefits of Massage. Upon completion of the course, the student will have a general knowledge base in each of the above areas as well as how each pertains to their profession in the Cosmetology industry. This course will complete the required 10 hours of continuing education for Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians, Facial Specialists, and Full Specialists to renew their license or registration in the State of Florida.

Meets Mandatory Subject Requirements

1. HIV/AIDS (2 hrs./2 CE’s)
2. Sanitation vs. Sterilization (3 hrs./3 CE’s)

4. Worker’s Compensation (.5 hrs./.5 CE’s)
5. Florida Laws and Rules (2 hrs./2 CE’s)

8.  Skin Conditions (1hr./1 CE)

Attendance & Course Credit

ATTENDANCE – As the student, you can read the material at your own pace.  Once the material is completed, you must submit your answers to the test.  
COURSE CREDIT – In order to receive credit for this course, you must submit the answers to the 25-question test and attain a passing score of 70% or higher. Course credit will be submitted electronically to the Florida DBPR within 24-48 hours of completion.
